Zanzibar School of health (ZSH) is a private health training institution established in 2011. It was officially inaugurated by the speaker of the house of Representatives of Zanzibar, Honorable Pandu Ameir Kificho on 30th June 2012.
The establishment of the School was in order to cater to the alarming scarcity of health and social workers in Zanzibar and Tanzania. The scarcity forced the native entrepreneurs to establish a school that will train and produces as many quality health and social workers as possible in order Education and Training (CBET) curriculum approved by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) to achieve its education and training goals.
Zanzibar School of Heath has gained accreditation status from NACTE and is registered as REG/HAS/123. It is also registered by Zanzibar Nursing and Midwifery Council (ZNMC) and recognized by the Ministry of Health Zanzibar and the Medical Doctors Council of Zanzibar.
