LIBRARIAN – 2 POSTS

1.1 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Library Resources: Organize, catalog, and maintain books, digital media, and other materials in the library.

  • Assist Patrons: Help library users locate materials, answer reference questions, and provide guidance on research.

  • Circulation Management: Oversee the lending and return of books, materials, and resources, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

  • Collection Development: Select, acquire, and recommend new books, journals, and resources to expand and update the library's collection.

  • Organize Programs and Events: Plan and conduct educational programs, workshops, reading clubs, and community events.

  • Maintain Library Systems: Use library management software to track materials, manage databases, and maintain accurate catalog information.

  • Promote Literacy and Learning: Foster an environment that encourages reading, learning, and intellectual development.

  • Enforce Library Policies: Ensure users adhere to library rules and regulations, such as quiet areas and appropriate use of resources.

  • Preserve Materials: Manage the preservation and repair of books, archives, and special collections.

  • Technology Assistance: Assist patrons with using computers, accessing online databases, and navigating digital resources.

    1. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in library or any related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Minimum two years of relevant working experience in the field Library service

 

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER – 1 POST

2:1 Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Content Creation and Management

    • Develop engaging multimedia content for the college’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, and promotional materials.

    • Design and produce advertisements, brochures, and other visual communication materials to promote the college's programs.

  1. Public Relations and Branding

    • Manage the institution’s public image by creating consistent messaging and ensuring brand integrity.

    • Build relationships with media outlets and journalists to increase media coverage.

  2. Media Production

    • Coordinate the production of videos, photos, and other media to showcase events, programs, and achievements.

    • Provide photography and videography services for college events and functions.

  3. Communication Strategy

    • Develop and implement a communication and media strategy aligned with the college's goals.

    • Monitor public perception and manage responses to media inquiries or issues.

  4. Social Media Management

    • Create, schedule, and monitor content across all social media channels.

    • Analyze social media engagement metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.

  5. Event Promotion and Coverage

    • Promote college events through digital, print, and broadcast media.

    • Provide media coverage during events and prepare post-event reports.

  6. Reporting and Analysis

    • Track media engagement statistics and prepare regular performance reports.

    • Suggest improvements for increasing public outreach and student enrollment.

2:2 Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Higher in Mass Communication or Digital Marketing.

  • A portfolio or examples of successful projects.

  • Knowledge of tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social media management platforms is a plus.

  • Bonus: Certifications in social media or digital marketing (e.g., Meta, Google, HubSpot).

  • Strong content creation, analytics, and audience engagement skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects.

RECEPTIONIST – 2 POSTS
3:1 Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Front Desk Management

    • Greet and welcome visitors, students, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

    • Answer and direct phone calls, handle inquiries, and provide information about the college.

  2. Administrative Support

    • Maintain and manage the reception area to ensure it is tidy and professional.

    • Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying, and correspondence.

    • Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings.

  3. Communication and Information Handling

    • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.

    • Maintain an accurate log of visitor records and ensure proper security procedures are followed.

  4. Student and Staff Support

    • Provide basic information about college programs, services, and events.

    • Direct students and visitors to appropriate offices or departments.

  5. Record Keeping

    • Maintain and update contact directories and databases as required.

    • Prepare basic reports and maintain organized records related to reception activities.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Office Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • A professional appearance and a courteous, friendly attitude.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
